Now if you care to read on, this is my #weekendfreewrite for .......... well, this weekend!

There were 17 cats living in Larry's basement...how they got there was anyone's guess.

Larry had been long gone for 150 years now but those 17 cats all looked to be very well fed.

When the sheriff came, because of a call from the neighbor, he didn't know what to expect.

The call was the weirdest call he had ever heard.

The neighbor was complaining about her children having to watch animals fornicate all over Larry's yard...........Who complains about THAT? How many animals could there really be? and why not just run them off on your own? Why ruin his day having to round a few stray cats........

But seven F*ckingteen? What was the Hell going on here? and WHO was feeding all these cats.

Larry's will had stated that no one was to come on his property unless there was a fire. The money came in every month to pay the bills for over 150 years. No one knew where that money came from or from who........but cats? Was this house filled with cats?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On Tuesday, she asked me the most peculiar question. It was about cats...............Now he started to wonder if Amy knew about all these cats! but why would his wife keep that a secret from him?
None of this was making any sense! Maybe HE should go see a doctor? maybe He was the one not well in the head from not believing what he was seeing.
But first things first, herding 17 cats OUT of the house and yard so Fat Missy next door doesn't have to explain to her kids about sex!
And this is why? I became a policeman and worked hard in the Army? to be a glorified cat herder?
Somedays it just wasn't worth getting out of bed!
Sam then picked up the phone and called the Humane Society to tell them he needed cages and lots of them.
Sara told him he would have to wait.
Wait? What was the world coming too?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The way Herb defrosted the refrigerator drove Sara NUTS.

She hated telling the Sheiff that he would have to wait but she knew if she left now Herb would leave a mess everywhere. It was 2017 and he still used a 1950 hairdryer on it so water got everywhere!

Sara also knew why he needed those cages and she also didn't want to be the one to explain that he could not move those cats.

When Larry died there were 2 cats.........he left enough money with an investor so those 2 cats were taken care of.

He then told Old Mrs. Bilford about his will and how to carry it all out until his money ran out.........

Mrs. Bilford, working for the bank like she did, reinvested it. That house and those, now 17 cats, had more money than the entire town.

They were not going anywhere anytime soon!

Happy Writing!
