En primer lugar te deseo un feliz año nuevo. Primero tuve miedo de que no recibieras mi carta, porque sólo me envíabas una postal. (Me gusta mucho esa postal).

Me parece bien, quiero decirte algo sobre nosotros. Mi hermana Yvonne (de 20 años) va a casarse el 17 de enero. No me gusta mucho eso. Porque entonces vivirá en otro lugar. Ella va a vivir en Noordwijk. Está cerca de Noordwijkerhout. Ella es la primera que va a casarse de nuestra familia. Yvon también está trabajando en la misma oficina que yo. Mi padre, mi madre, mi hermano Paul, mi novia y yo nos vamos (no Lyda, ella va a otra parte) Vamos el 21 de julio hasta el 4 de agosto. Sólo dos semanas, porque el año pasado estuvimos tres semanas, pero eso fue demasiado largo. Ahora iremos en avión, no en coche. El año pasado nos alojamos en un hotel, ahora en Apartamentos. Se llama: Apartamentos Nucleo Cristal, Costa del Sol. Si quieres, te doy la dirección de estos apartamentos. (Tal vez es demasiado lejos para tí).

Noordwijkerhout, the 12th of January 1979

Dear Jésus

First of all I wish you a happy new year. First I was afraid you did not receive my letter, because you only send me a postcard. (I like that postcard very much).

It’s alright with me I want to tell you something about ourselfs. My sister Yvonne (20 years old) is going to marry the 17th of January. I don’t like that very much. Yvon is also working at the same office I do. It’s getting much better at my work. I have many things to do there. Much more than my other work. Only the boss is more strictly than my first boss.
