Use Forces
Richard Buckminster "Bucky" Fuller (July 12, 1895 – July 1, 1983) was an American architect, systems theorist, author, designer, and inventor.
Fuller published more than 30 books, coining or popularizing terms such as "Spaceship Earth", ephemeralization, and synergetic. He also developed numerous inventions, mainly architectural designs, and popularized the widely known geodesic dome. Carbon molecules known as fullerenes were later named by scientists for their structural and mathematical resemblance to geodesic spheres. Source

I really like what this guy had to say about forces.
“Don't fight forces, use them.”
What a wonderful way to think!
There are so many forces coming at us daily it’s crazy.
Many of them seem to be pushing against us.
What if they aren't?
What if many of the forces we feel "pushing against us" are actually pushing us toward something we want, we just can't see it.
Source
I know in my life I have noticed that when I fight against things, things often get worse.
Whatever we fight, we empower.
If we fight against everything we think is against us we may be missing opportunity.
Not to mention whatever we are fighting we are making stronger by focusing so much energy and emotion on it.
So, what if we let go?
Source
What if we were to just ride the wave and let something like that happen without fighting so hard against it?
Now, I'm not suggesting we negate resilience or the courage to beat the odds.
I'm merely suggesting going with things more than fighting them.
In many cases, when we stop fighting what we think is against us, we find that it was simply guiding us in a new direction, even when what we're fighting isn't aware of it.
When a great force is there opposing us, it is filled with energy and that energy or momentum may just slingshot your forward if you use it correctly.
One thing that is for certain is that if you stand and fight that opposing energy, you will be standing there fighting that opposing energy.
Source
Your focus will be on that opposing energy instead of anything else that you could be focused on.
At minimum, this will be pulling you away from your goal.
What can you do then?
You could simply step around that thing and continue moving forward.
If stepping around it is not an option then there is likely something to be learned from it.
So instead of fighting it...
Watch it, listen to it or feel it.
You may be pleasantly surprised by what you will learn.
You may find a way to use this force to aid you with your goal.
You may find that all you had to do to learn to wield this powerful force was to stop fighting.
Remember,
“Don't fight forces, use them.”
