Coffee Time Meditation #30 -- Oct. 21st

“The whole process of mental, spiritual and material riches may be summed up in one word — gratitude.” — Unknown Author

Thoughts on Today’s Quote

Gratitude — you ever notice when you start to think with gratitude toward anything in your life that your mood will lift?

When you start to focus on what you have with gratitude, you start to move your mind away from what you don’t have to what you do have.

When you focus more on what you have rather than what you don’t have, you mood lifts and you’re able to start to see pathways to where you want to go.

A mindset of need will cause you to look inward as you lament what you don’t have. It’s like walking down the road with your head down and not looking where you are going. You could literally end up anywhere but where you wanted to go.

Forming a gratitude mindset lifts your spirits and your head. You get to see where you’re going and are able to change course as you need to in order to head where you want to go.

When you are grateful for the people in your life and the gifts they bring, you start to see the treasure in those people. I’m not talking about actual gifts presented to you but the gifts each person has within themselves to share with those around them.

Have you thought about what gifts you have to share? Are you grateful for what you can offer?

It took me some time to learn to look to the people around me when I sought help or guidance. When I wasn’t able to find what I needed, I would make an inquiry of those around me. Amazing the number of times that someone around me had what I needed. Either directly or could direct me. Don’t under estimate anyone.

Just so you know, I am grateful for those who read the Coffee Time Meditation. You make it worthwhile for me to share them with you. Sometimes, I get lucky and someone shares their gratitude. We’re all in this together.
