Bruce Lee was a seriously disciplined man.

He is well known all over the world for his martial arts and philosophy.

I've shared a quote from him before and couldn't resist this one today.

"If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you'll never get it done."

What a great statement!

This is so true, isn't it?

Thinking about a thing before we do it can prove quite valuable.

However there is a fine line between thinking about it and hesitation isn't there?

Sometimes we hesitate for far to long on a thing and never actually do it.

Sometimes we will plan a thing out, waiting until we have everything "just right".

Only to find out we missed the mark.

There has to be action!

Sometimes there does not have to be much action, just action.

It is easy to get caught in a loop.

Planning to plan so to speak.

In that loop there is normally doubt.

Doubt that we could really pull it off.

Doubt that we have what it takes.

Doubt that it is the right time.

Many things can keep us thinking instead of acting on something.

The truth is when your gut says to act, then that's when you should act.

Usually there is a reason why you got the impulse.

So if you have been spending a long time thinking about something you could be over thinking it.

Take a step back, relax and look at it again.

You may get the impulse to act again, or you may realize you missed it.

If you get the impulse, great!

If you missed it, great!

At least you can now move on.

You are now free to think and act on your next thing.

Make this one count!

Remember,

"If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you'll never get it done."
