I picked a great quote from this guy today.
"If you take responsibility for yourself you will develop a hunger to accomplish your dreams."
What a great statement!
We really need to take full responsibility for ourselves.
I want to apologize in advance.
Today I am going to share something that many of you will not believe and may be completely unwilling to accept.
Source
I am only sharing it because it is true.
This concept may sink in right away and it may take time, all I ask is be open to it and let it stir and mix in for a while before you judge. :)
There is something called the 5 second miracle (ten second, instant, it has a few names).
The 5 second miracle is profoundly simple yet scary if you're not there yet.
Source
It is when we take full responsibility for everything that has happened, is happening or ever will happen in our lives.
Not partial, full.
When we finally realize and accept that everything in our lives was our doing, including all the things we think now are/were someone else's fault, a miracle happens!
We finally, for the first time in our lives, gain full control over it.
We finally have the world in our hands!
Source
Many people think that taking responsibility hurts us somehow.
Like, "That guy really caused this accident, not me.", will somehow protect us from feeling bad or something.
"But that guy really did cause the accident. I was just driving, he blew the stop sign! It's his fault!"
That's called a justification first of all.
When we are feeling the need to justify, we are likely wrong somehow.
Truth needs no justification.
Regardless of who blew the stop sign, that accident did not happen without you.
Source
You were there, a co creator of the incident, you have responsibility in that.
Ok, taking partial responsibility here gives you a partial miracle which is already better than just laying blame on the other person.
"How does taking full responsibility of this accident, that this guy clearly caused, help me?"
Here's how:
Once you can finally grasp and fully accept this, it means that you have fully understood and grasped that you are literally creating every facet of your own reality.
That,
is
Power!
From this moment you are now wielding, with skill and agility, the greatest resource you will ever have in your toolkit.
Source
From this moment you are now capable of consciously shaping, as you have been unconsciously shaping until now, every infinitesimal piece of your reality.
Now the hunger to create what you really want will fuel your desire to make it real.
Taste it.
Chew it.
Swallow it.
Things just got real folks.
Remember,
"If you take responsibility for yourself you will develop a hunger to accomplish your dreams."
