Legacy Challenge

Victoria, and Jack Steem are my Sim Girl legacy challenge Sims. If you are not familiar with the challenge you can find it at Sims Legacy Challenge. This challenge is to basically start your Sim out on a huge lot, with little to no money, and then play the household for 10 generations on this land. There are many stipulations, and rules for the challenge. You can find these rules by following the link.

The Steem twins, Angelica, and Josette have become teenagers. When the Sims reach their teenage years, they will be able to do more things than they could do as kids. They can build more skills, take on a part-time job, and take on more responsibility at home.

Having twin girls in their teen years should help Victoria, and Jack, because they can now do many more chores around the house. The first thing I did, was to send the twins to harvest and water the garden. They got it done so fast, that I couldn’t get a screenshot.

I decided that they needed better outfits than they were given randomly, so after a quick change of clothes, I sent Angelica out to the garden to plants some more flowers. Both, Angelica, and Josette received the sad buff for not having a birthday party. This birthday glitch is depressing.

Once your Sim children have been taught manners, and have had positive interactions together, they will automatically hang out together. They will chat together, and the nature of the discussion will be shown on the top-middle of the screen.

If you mouse over the chat bubbles in the action queue, you can see who all is involved in the conversation. You can see the Sims’ pictures in the top discussion meter too. This meter, also shows the mood color of the Sims. The topic of the conversation, can change the mood of the Sims talking.

After Angelica was done planting the flowers, I sent Josette out to water them.

I wanted to dress the twins in the same outfit, but they are not identical twins. They are different sizes, and they have different body types. An outfit that looked good on one of them, did not look the same on the other. One of the fun options in the Sims 4, is being able to shop without spending money.

Once I updated the Steem twins, I added the family to the gallery. If you would like to download the family, you can now do so from the Sims Community by searching Steem.

To download a family, or household from the gallery in the Sims 4 game, you can go into the game, select the open gallery option at the top of your screen, and then look in the community to find pre-made families, and Sims.

You can also share your premade Sims, at any time of their life span. To do this after you have made your Sims, go into the create a Sim through the mirror. Once you decide the outfit and hairstyles of your Sims for the picture, you can go to the share option, and then share the household with the Sims community.

Right after midnight, Victoria went into labor. She was sitting around the television, chatting with the girls at the time.

I sent Victoria and Jack to the hospital alone.

Now that Angelica, and Josette are in their teenaged years, they can stay home and babysit the other children. They are also, able to spray for monsters under the bed. The kids, now wake the entire house up when a monster appears. No matter what.

@snook was kind enough to share with me and her readers, that if the toddler’s skills are raised to max during the toddler years, they will have less sleepless nights due to monsters. It is too late for the three middle girls, but we will have one more chance with the new baby.

Victoria gave birth to yet, another baby girl. I named this one Franny. I’m not sure why, but I’ve always liked that name. I was really hoping for a boy in the house, but this house is full of estrogen. If Victoria and Jack can get them to clean the house, cook meals, and garden, it shouldn’t be too bad….

I have decided that the next generation will have less children.

Once baby Franny was born, I got the full house achievement in the Sims 4 game. This is an achievement for the player, that you will receive if you play a house filled with eight Sims.

Clearly, I have never done this before, hence the achievement.

I am in uncharted water here people. There’s no telling what is going to happen next!

Angelica instantly began caring for Franny. It will be so nice to have the extra help. The fact the twins are now in their teens, and the other girls are no longer toddlers, will make this family easier to play; in my opinion. I do not think, I can play anymore Sims on this lot.

When the children begin to age, I will need to send some of the Steem girls off into the Sim world, to make room for the next generation.

The notifications are beginning to inform me more frequently, that the Sims, Victoria and Jack have known in their lives have begun to die. Jack is in his 80s, so it will not be long before he is called on to the next life. Victoria has not reached elder age, due to the immortal buff I have been dealing with, so she may live long enough to see a few of the children move out of the house.

The garden is looking much better now that there is more help on the Steem farm. There are still a few dead plants in there; you can see the green mist around the dead plants.

Overall, the Steems are doing very well. The house has grown many times, since Victoria started this legacy with only $1800.

I hope you have learned more about playing the Sims 4, and how nice it is, to have the children grow into helpful teens. Now, that all that baby making is over, Victoria can help the children develop into young adults.

Until next time,

Happy Gaming- Sim Girl
